We woke up pretty late today, but had time to make pancakes before Eric left for work. Today we used peanut butter and Grammy's blackberry jelly to color/flavor our pancakes. While Eric was at work, I finally tackled our stack of un-sorted/shredded/trashed paperwork. I got through about a quarter of it, but it's a start! I also went in to school for about an hour to work on a communication device for one of my students. Eric brought me dinner because I had a killer migraine, but it wasn't so bad after resting for an hour or so. We spent the rest of the night watching 30 Rock and The Office - we're halfway through the most recent season of both of those... what will we do when they're through?!

Day 111: Wenberg Wine Party
Once in a blue moon, Eric and I actually get to spend some time together! He worked during the day and got out early to go to the wine and tequila party at my parents house.
The final result of our Skittles Vodka project! 1) Sort a bag of Skittles out by color, 2) Pour a 1.75 L bottle of vodka into 5 empty water bottles, 3) Put equal numbers of Skittles into each bottle, 4) Shake the bottles a few times per day until the Skittles are totally dissolved, 5) Use a funnel and coffee filter or paper towel to filter each flavor into a new water bottle, 6) After another day or two, filter the vodka into separate 12oz bottles.
I recommend enjoying Skittles Vodka with Sprite - it is still vodka, you know!
Still enjoying our marriage!
Eric really enjoyed visiting with Kobi and Sadie. Juneau was there too, but she didn't make it into the picture.
What's better than 5 ladies enjoying a reclining, vibrating, sleep number bed?!
That would be the one man observing the event!

Day 110: Friends, Family, and Fun!
After a boring day for both of us, we had awesome nights! Eric rode the motorcycle to his Business of Games class and then helped Ashley cook dinner. Alison and I took Kristie out to the Legends for her Bachelorette Party!
Everyone needs to encourage Eric to start taking pictures of his endeavors! I feel bad that there aren't as many pictures of things he does because the camera is always with me when we're separate.

Started out the night with dessert at Hooters!

Complimentary Bachelorette Tailgating!
Kristie - Slick Willy, Jessica - Toto's Tornado, Alison - CC Cake
We won 850 tickets off of this game in two spins.
We ended up with more than 3500 tickets!!!

Day 109: Lots of Preparation
Today is all about tomorrow! Tomorrow I've got class, a complex 3 year reevaluation/IEP meeting, and a bachelorette party! Eric worked all night and we watched "When in Rome" after he got home. One of our favorite actors in Kristen Bell, and she hasn't failed us yet!

Day 108: Video Update & A New Blog!
Today I am unveiling my brand new blog! My mom noticed a trend of cooking and money saving in our marriage blog and suggested that I write a budget cookbook. So after only a week or so of planning and preparing, I present to you, Budget Cooking for Couples! I plan to update it twice a week with a new recipe, ranging from breakfast to dinner, snacks and dessert. Please comment on the recipes after you've made them with your comments and any suggestions that you have for making them better. You can also comment to make requests for recipes that you'd like to see featured!
Now for a video update!

Day 107: Monday Funday!
Today was GREAT! School went pretty normal for me - my kiddo that has cerebral palsy is getting really strong and is able to walk further every day, my kiddo with autism who attacks other kids in the hallway and runs away from you is able to walk for more than 10 minutes without eloping, and my girls are starting to understand word problems in math! I'm still caught up in my Monday night class which covers the instruction and assessment of non-symbolic communicators (kids who don't use words), AND I did extra credit work. Then I was frustrated that after such a long day I had to attend a PTA meeting to defend my project request. However, the meeting was really interesting and they APPROVED my request as soon as I finished speaking!
After the meeting, Eric had just gotten home from his Religions class and we were both hungry. However, our kitchen was barren. So we made a shopping list and headed out for some quality shopping time! We got 3 paper sacks and 3 plastic bags full of groceries for $68! This included bread, hamburger and hot dog buns, chips, crackers, cookies, 15 TV dinners, ground turkey, hot dogs, lunch meat, mac and cheese, hamburger helper, paper towels, foil, peanut butter, oatmeal, yogurt, milk, orange juice, sliced cheese, shredded cheese, and pancake mix!

Oh yea, posted in front of my school!
I wasn't able to park in the JRP lot and had to walk 127 steps up to my class.
More stairs.
Going to school on a mountain sucks! So glad I'm not an undergrad anymore!
Addy being cute!

Day 106: Dinos and Dave
I woke up early this morning and made up some dinosaur pancakes. I made a stegosaurus, brontosaurus, triceratops, t-rex, and pterodactyl, along with some dino eggs and some plaques that said "dinos" to practice my pancake handwriting. We had a delicious breakfast in bed before I left for church and Eric went to work.
Church was as usual, and then I spent the morning at Mom and Alan's house working a new blog project. I'll advertise and brag about that soon, but it isn't quite ready yet! I spent the afternoon with Papa working on sorting out his storage and bringing her winter clothes upstairs. We found 5-6 boxes of children's toys from as old as when I was kid, 5-6 boxes of Christmas decorations, some pictures and a few other random things - oh and 7 boxes of winter clothes! By the time we got half of the winter clothes upstairs it was time to head out to Dave Ramsey, so we left the project to finish later.
Tonight's class was the "Dumping Debt" lesson and I brought Papa as a guest, Mom and Alan brought Kris as a guest. I definitely cried 4 times during the video - talking about the "debt snowball" and how it builds motivation made me cry because that IS HAPPENING for us, it's WORKING! Talking about "gazelle intensity", watching the cheetah chase the gazelle, and watching Dave get ramped up and MAD about fighting debt - made me cry. Then during the video and at the end of the video, testimonials and the "We're DEBT FREE" scream - makes me cry just thinking about it. Money is so emotional, and Eric and I are most certainly "gazelle intense"!!!

The t-rex tore off the triceratops head!
Grammy's tree.
Does anyone know who put the orange ribbon on it?
