Day 105: KC Ren Fest 2.0

Steven and Leslie invited us out to the KC Ren Fest today and we had an awesome time!  It was pretty darn cold, so I ended up putting a pair of Eric's pants on underneath my dress.  We did some walking, shopping, garlic eating, sheep and llama petting, and more!

Also, after Eric got home from work tonight we decided that we were finally ready for the last EVER episode of LOST, which has been sitting on our TV stand for a week now.  But alas, the preview was confusing because I bumped up the season on Netflix in the wrong order, and we still have another disc to watch!  Yay!

My rockin' jeans and floral style.

A retake of our fountain picture from last year.

 I fed a chicken!

A baby and mama llama!

Serious llama.

Jess and mama llama, Steven and Leslie.

Steven and Leslie!
Eric and me!

I forgot my flats socks and got bad blisters, so I made toilet paper socks for my toes!

Aren't we in love?!

Steven the three armed alcoholic lover!

Eric and me on the love pig!

Steven the archer!

 Leslie the archer!

I love spending time with my husband!
All of us at the KC Ren Fest!

I couldn't walk a step further because of my blisters, so Eric carried me to the car.

Day 104: Old Chicago Once Again!

This morning Addy broke our scale!  She laid down on it and the weight registered is 169.4!  Now when Eric and I step on it, it registers as more than 400 lbs!  Every other Friday, Paul, Deb, Brian, and Jen meet up at the Lawrence Old Chicago for some beers.  We joined them after Eric got off of work and had a really good time drinking, talking, and playing pool.  Later in the evening Paul and Deb went back to Olathe and we went with Brian and Jen to Jet Lag.  On the way there, we stopped for gas.  We were there in 3 cars, dancing with our music turned up and a car of 18-19 year old guys pulled in between Eric, Jen, and me.  They had a good laugh at Jen and I dancing to each other!

We'll call her... Faddy.

Brian and Jen!

Paul and Deb!

Jen and me!

Blue Moon!

Hogging the pool table!

We are the creepiest couple ever!

Yep, totally creepy!  I have no idea what's going on here!

My car, Eric's car, teenage boys, Jen and Kendra - all dancing to Justin Timberlake!

Day 103: Time with the Green's

I booked it home after work and Eric and I left straight away for our classes.  I'm also caught up in my Thursday class, and now I need to start on my Continuing Education class!  Eric dropped me off at Edward's Campus and headed over to JCCC to work out and go to his Business of Games class.

When we were through with classes, Eric picked me up and went over to his parents house.  Paul spent most of the night replacing their garbage disposal and Deb was out at the casino.  Eric and I got Chinese food for everyone from Mom and Alan's favorite place and it was delicious!  We also got to watch a brand new episode of 30 Rock and The Office!!!  Now that NBC partnered with Netflix, Eric and I are going to spend way more time than necessary watching TV!

After we got home, Eric opened his last beer and promptly flipped it onto the floor.  He lost all except the last inch of it.

Sad Eric with beer on his shirt, face, and hair, as well as the floor, couch, and table.

Day 102: Chicken Cacciatore

Wow, we're starting to explore some much cooler recipes!  Tonight I made Chicken Cacciatore with quite o few modifications for our purposes - frozen chicken tenders, dried spices, extra garlic, and rainbow spiral pasta instead of fettuccine.  It is so much better than canned tomato sauces, and has chardonnay in it so we had glasses of that with dinner too.

Now we're watching the first episode of 24: Season 3.  We put off watching it for awhile because Eric was sick of the characters.  So far he's glad that Jack's wife and Nina are dead.

Delicioso!

Day 101: Mystic's Check Up

This morning I took Mystic to the local Eudora Pet Hospital for a check up. She's about 16 years old and seems to just be happy and chillin'. However we wanted to make sure all was well so Jess scheduled an appointment for 9:30 this morning. At a quarter after I brought out the old kennel and set it open on the couch to go find Mystic. When I gathered her up and brought her back, Addy was loafed comfortably in the kennel as if she belonged there. After removing her and packing up Mystic I drove over and took her in to be examined. She's been drinking a lot of water lately and we recently switched her over to senior cat food. The doc said they would need to get a blood sample to learn anything so they took her into the back and after a couple of minutes I could hear her protesting rather heatedly. The doc came back and said she was a feisty one and they had to shave her neck to draw anything! They sent me to the lobby to wait for results. After a few minutes they brought me back in and told me about some levels of random letters that made no sense to me (BUN & creatinine). Basically what they mean is that Mystic is beginning down the same Chronic Renal Failure path as Bubsy. They've recommended we start feeding her kidney diet and try to keep up her fluids. On the bright side, he said she's likely to continue having good quality of life for at least another year to year and a half.

Day 100: Still in Love!

Today was our typical Monday.  I left school directly for class at KU and Eric spent the day hanging out with Alan in Olathe, went to the gym, and went to his class.  I fell extremely far behind on my schoolwork in the past few weeks and I got all of my work caught up for my Monday class!

When we were both home for the evening we had some baked potatoes for dinner and watched 2 episodes of Family Guy before I had to go to bed.  Boooooring!

Who doesn't love KU at sunset?

Day 99: A Typical Sunday

Eric had a good time with Steven and Leslie last night, and ended up pretty sore from all of the interactive games.  He went straight to work and I didn't see him again until the evening.

I woke up, got Andrew up and gave him his breathing treatment while we watched Calliou on Netflix.  Then I got Kris up to pack all of Andrew's things while I got him dressed.  We left for church at St. Thomas.  Afterward he took Andrew to the car while I went to visit Grammy's tree - someone had put an orange ribbon in it! It's fall!

I took care of some homework at Mom and Alan's house and hung out with them until we left for Dave Ramsey.  I'm really excited for next weeks class - Dumping Debt!  The primary goal in the Green household right now is getting out of debt! We are both really psyched to show off our debt thermometer and I hope everyone in the class gets motivated by that lesson, if they aren't totally on board yet!

Mom, Alan and I went to Red Robin (Yum!) and had some good conversations, and then I headed home to see Eric!  We watched a Jennifer Anison movie called Management.  It was so absolutely ridiculous that it was hysterical.  It was just unbelievably funny - go watch it on Netflix instant play now!

Grammy's tree with my ribbon and a new orange ribbon.

Alan's showing off his money saving idea - putting leftovers on top of the dog food so they eat all of their meal!
