Mom's Half Marathon

Mom has been training like a crazy woman, and had her mind set that she was going to run a half marathon today!  She started with the 2 hour 45 minute pacer, truly hoped to finish in less than 3 hours, and would be satisfied if she finished in less than 3 hours and 30 minutes.

I woke up this morning and picked up Alison and Papa - we drove around Kansas City and cheered on the marathon runners at the 1 mile, 6, 9, and 13 mile marks.  Mom stayed with the 2:45 pacer for the entire race and finished in 2 hours and 43 minutes.  It was so amazing!

I did the "peanut butter jelly time" dance at Target when Mom was doing some last minute shopping for marathon gear.

Signs Eric and I made for Mom!

Mom ran with one of Alan's coworkers, Travis.  They did awesome!

I brought Ashley along to help cheer for Mom.

Running Mom

Mom has been on such a "roll" lately!  She started with walking, moved up to a 5k, and now she's training for a half marathon in two weeks.  This morning, Mom ran a 5k with Deb, Emma, Zayne, Rick, Jeana, and their little ones.

Good luck on your run!

Tech Free Part 2

I've been getting sick of our routine of watching Netflix, while Eric is gaming on his computer and I'm playing on my phone.  Also mildly tired of reading - I just wanted to escape from media for an evening!  So before Steven went home, I went for a jog and he and Eric followed me on bike.

After Steven went home, Eric and I played a 3 hour game of Monopoly!  The cats were very involved in the game...and Eric kicked my butt.

Steven got hit by a rogue trash bag.

I'm running with Pandora running through my phone, and Eric & Steven are playing on the bikes.

I jumped in our pool when my 3.25 mile run was over, soooo hot!

Mystic was laying behind Eric with about 3 inches of space, and she kept a paw on his $5 million dollar bills.

Addy and Eric both looking at me through their eyebrows.
