St. Thomas was Flocked!

As a fundraiser for the new building at St. Thomas, the youth group had a crazy and fun idea.  One hundred pink, plastic, flamingos landed on the lawn and needed to be coerced away before the Bishop arrived on Sunday.  For a $15 adoption fee, you could take one home with you!

So Eric and I bought one and it got to spend a few minutes with Grammy before heading home with us!

Running Mom

Mom has been on such a "roll" lately!  She started with walking, moved up to a 5k, and now she's training for a half marathon in two weeks.  This morning, Mom ran a 5k with Deb, Emma, Zayne, Rick, Jeana, and their little ones.

Good luck on your run!

Steak Night!

The baby has been extremely temperamental about the foods I can eat, look at, think about, etc. for the past few weeks.  I'm finally starting to settle down, and had a massive craving for steak.  So we were patient for a few days and then tonight Eric and I had a date night at Texas Roadhouse.  Yum....

Look!  I can eat salad and bread!

Mmmm, steak and beer!

Steak!

St. Thomas Blessing of the Animals

Addy didn't think we were serious when we told her that she had to come to church this week!

I love my big baby, she USED to like car rides...

Addy loves to sit with her daddy, almost the entire drive in to town.

I ended up kenneling her so she would stop pacing.

Once we were at the service, she still preferred sitting with her dad!

"Dad, keep me safe from all of the dogs!"

Addy getting blessed!

She doesn't look mad at all... haha!

Busy and Relaxing Weekend!

A picture post because I'm too lazy to write it all up!  9-23 Broken door handle, planning at home, Cute addy, heartbeat
9-24 Laundry, dinner, TV
9-25 early church, fun with Steven, FPU

My door handle snapped off in my hand!  What?!

Addy is our "big baby", and she reminds us of it all the time!  She is so darn cute.

The new baby is letting us hear their heartbeat every night before I go to bed.  It's our favorite part of the day!

Eric planned a "Go-Jo's" style night.  We made teriyaki noodles with baby red potatoes, chicken, onions, and carrots.  Delicious!

I love our family!

We went looking at strollers today (with no luck) and I found this onesie.  I thought Alan might appreciate it :)

Goodbye Granny

Eric's Granny turned 99 this year, and has been really sick for the past few weeks.  She passed away a few nights ago and we drove to Warrenton, MO last night to be here for her funeral today.  It was really nice to see all of his family, but also really tough to see how hard the loss was on Tony.

I was really nervous because this was my first time going through the full process of a viewing, mass, and funeral at the cemetery.  It was really emotional, and just crazy to see what an amazing family started with Granny.  I'm sorry that I don't have more to say or any pictures, but it just wasn't that sort of day.

On our way home, we went out of our way by about an hour to visit with Grampa Ed and Grandma Judy.  We hung out at their house for about an hour and then drove to Columbia for a really good dinner at Applebees.

Family Weekend

We had a long and busy weekend, and got to see a lot of family!  Friday was Alan's birthday dinner at his favorite Chinese food restaurant.  Then on Saturday I went out with Alison and her roommate to do some shopping.  I went to my first "diaper swap" at the Happybottomus cloth diaper store, where I bought my first cloth diaper!!!

Saturday night was a dance party at Brian and Jen's house.  There wasn't an overwhelming amount of dancing, but there was a ton of humorous conversations and some new dance moves were invented.  Namely, Eric's mad hip swing, haha!

Eric and I led our first Financial Peace University class.  Only one couple showed up, but there were two others who registered online and didn't show up.  So we'll see if they come to the next class.  Then we ran to Papa's house for his housewarming party.  Molly, Eric, Papa and I spent the afternoon cleaning and decorating and cooking at his place.  Then Mom brought baked beans and Sean and Deb brought desserts.  Everyone hung out and watched all of the little kids play.  Mom took portrait photos of the little ones, and we were all happy to see Molly.

The end to our weekend was an awesome Monday.  Eric and I went in for our first ultrasound, and got to see our little babe and his/her heart beating away.  Then we went to see "I Don't Know How She Does It" in the AMC Cinema Suites.  Screechy leather chairs, delicious food, and a crappy milkshake, haha!

Molly and the boys joined me at work for lunch.  This is Cash stuffing his face with broccoli!

Alan, Mom, and Papa - all thrilled to be at dinner!

Eric, Emma, Deb, and Sean - also super excited!

Cade, Matt, and Molly - interested in dinner!

Cash, Declan, Connor, Zayne, and Chase - the boys really enjoyed hanging out!

Me and Eric, yay!

My first cloth diaper!
